Description
Rare vintage boxed set of six dimensional Christmas ornaments, marked 101/W222 and Made in Western Germany. The original box has a handwritten 1958–1961 notation. Each ornament features a colorful molded scene set against a domed background and surrounded by an ornate gold-tone openwork frame.
Scenes include angels, church, Madonna and Child, angel with lamb, and deer. Approximately 3" across each based on ruler photos.
Three ornaments in the bottom row required stabilization/repair. Interior backing material was repaired as needed, and the deteriorated foam backing behind the deer was completely replaced. Repairs were made to preserve and stabilize the ornaments. Original box shows age, storage wear, writing, tape and wear to the clear window. Please review photos carefully for condition and repairs.
