Description
Striking vintage hand-blown green glass wine decanter or carafe featuring a curved pouring spout and a separate internal ice chamber. Ice is placed in the side chamber to chill wine or another beverage without diluting it.
The decanter includes two natural raffia-covered closures: a large upper stopper and a smaller stopper for the ice-chamber opening. Red raffia ties connect the pieces and add wonderful mid-century character. Bubbles, slight irregularities and a visible pontil are consistent with hand-blown production.
Commonly identified as Italian or Empoli-style barware from approximately the 1960s–70s; no maker’s mark was found, so the precise manufacturer and country of origin remain unconfirmed.
Vintage condition with surface wear, dust and residue, particularly inside the vessel. Raffia is aged and frayed. No obvious chips or cracks were observed in the photographs. Not leak tested or evaluated for modern food safety. Please review all photographs carefully.
