Description
Vintage molded glass Christmas ornament in a classic pinecone shape with deeply raised overlapping scales. The ornament has an aged gold finish with remnants of green decoration near the pointed end and a frosted/mica-like surface treatment. Original metal cap and wire hanger are present, although the cap marking is too worn to confidently identify the maker.
This ornament shows substantial age-related wear, including finish loss, fading, spotting, scratches, discoloration and wear to the decorative surface. The metal cap and hanger also show age and oxidation. Estimated circa 1945–1960 based on construction and comparable vintage glass pinecone ornaments; exact maker and country of origin are unknown.
