Lot of 4 early vintage American glass Christmas ball ornaments in a beautiful deep blue. Each has a smooth metal cap stamped “Made in U.S. of A.,” a marking associated with pre-WWII/early 1940s American ornament production. Approximately 2.5" in diameter.
All four show substantial age-related wear including scratches, spotting, oxidation, discoloration and areas of finish loss, giving them wonderful authentic antique Christmas character. Caps and hanging wires also show age. No cracks or breaks observed. Maker is not confirmed; although this cap style is associated with early Shiny Brite ornaments, other American manufacturers used similar caps.
