A genuine Red Wing Union Stoneware 5-gallon jug, produced in Red Wing, Minnesota between 1915 and 1930. This classic shoulder jug displays the cobalt-blue “5” capacity mark, red wing emblem, and oval Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. / Red Wing, Minn. stamp.
The jug features Red Wing’s characteristic two-tone salt-glazed surface, a light gray body with a beige upper shoulder and neck. It retains its original cork stopper, a rare survival feature, and makes a bold decorative statement in a farmhouse, primitive, or rustic kitchen setting.
Standing about 19½ inches tall and 11 inches in diameter, this is a substantial early 20th-century utility vessel, now prized as American folk pottery.
