Description
Antique German bisque-head Queen Louise by Armand Marseille on her fully jointed composition body. Marked Queen Louise at the nape; blue glass sleep eyes, open mouth with teeth, long brown wig; dressed in a red tartan outfit with bonnet (label inside dress: Made especially for you by Winkie).
Condition details:
Bisque head: no chips/cracks/hairlines noted on inspection. Sleep eyes intact; mechanism present (photos show eyes closed in some shots).
Body: original jointed composition with age wear throughout; surface rubs/crazing; chest/torso touch-up/repaint area visible in photos; joints functional; light loss at hands/feet.
Clothing: later outfit by “Winkie” with bonnet; cotton undergarments; stockings; white shoes (worn).
Size: ~24–26 in. (tag states 24 inches; ruler photo with bonnet approaches 26").
