Description
Authentic Red Wing Union Stoneware 5-gallon shoulder jug, produced in Red Wing, Minnesota between 1915 and 1930. This classic stoneware jug features a bold cobalt-blue “5”, a well-defined red wing emblem, and the oval “Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. / Red Wing, Minn.” maker’s mark stamped below.
The jug exhibits Red Wing’s signature salt-glazed stoneware finish — smooth gray body with a warm buff shoulder and hand-applied handle. A fine example of early American utilitarian pottery, this piece has excellent color contrast and strong visual presence, ideal for primitive, farmhouse, or rustic décor displays.
