Description
Antique German blown glass Christmas ornament in a striking hot pink mercury-glass finish, formed in an elongated hot-air-balloon shape and surrounded by delicate crinkled wire. This style of wire-wrapped ornament dates to the early German ornament-making tradition and is considerably less common than standard glass balls.
The ornament retains its original aged metal cap and substantial portions of the delicate wirework. Displays beautifully with authentic age-related wear throughout.
