Antique Champion Blower & Forge Co cast iron post drill manufactured in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. These heavy hand-crank drills were widely used in blacksmith shops, farm shops, and early machine shops before the widespread adoption of electric drill presses.
This example features the classic Champion spoked flywheel, gear drive system, and wooden crank handles. A great piece of early industrial history and a desirable display tool for blacksmithing or antique tool collections.
