1930s Mercury Glass Flower Basket Christmas Ornaments Hand Painted Lot of 5

Wonderful matched group of five early hand-blown mercury glass Christmas ornaments in an unusual flower basket form. These were acquired from an estate auction where examples from the group were identified as 1930s hand-painted, hand-blown mercury glass flower basket ornaments. Each features molded basket-weave glass with raised floral decoration and surviving hand-painted accents in vivid pink, green, silver and gold tones.

• Estate auction attributed them to the 1930s
• Hand-blown, silvered mercury glass construction
• Unusual molded basket-weave form with raised flower details
• Hand-painted pink and green decoration
• Two retain especially strong bright pink basket coloring
• Wonderful variation in coloring and patina from ornament to ornament
• Expected antique paint loss, silvering loss, oxidation, spotting and surface wear
• Several are missing their original caps/hangers; one retains an old cap and string and another retains a wire hanger
• No obvious major cracks or breaks observed
