Description
Small prewar-style silvered glass Christmas ornament featuring deeply embossed floral/starburst molding and distinctive bumpy textured sections. Construction and design characteristics closely resemble documented 1930s American Heidt ornaments, including examples found with unmarked metal caps; however, no maker's mark is present, so attribution to Heidt cannot be confirmed.
- Approximately 1.5" wide
- Deeply embossed floral/starburst design
- Bumpy/textured molded glass sections
- Silvered finish with aged gold-toned accents
- Unmarked metal cap and hanging loop
- Possibly Heidt, circa 1930s; attribution not guaranteed
- Age-related silvering loss, oxidation, discoloration and surface wear
- Metal cap shows age-related patina
- No cracks or major chips observed
A particularly interesting miniature example of early molded glass Christmas ornament production.
